I keep trying to like Pinterest, but I don’t really get it.
It is only on this mother of all mash-ups that you can see a
picture captioned: “Leonard Nimoy posing with his '64 Buick Riviera on the
Backlot of Desilu Studios, Culver City, 1966. Credit: Courtesy Paramount” next
to a picture of “Weight Watchers Cheesecake Squares.”
We have food blogs, fashion blogs, fitness blogs, whatever whatever
– Pinterest collects all the pictures from all these blogs and throws them in a
giant pile, and then everyone digs into the pile and proudly separates them into the same categories they came from, only this time, they get creative names like, “Yummy Food!” “Clothes I’d Love to Buy.”
I have one board with three pictures of terrible food that I
already make anyway.
I make fun of things that I am bad at.
Dude. Use it to bookmark stuff you see on the Internet that you like, not for stuff you see on Pinterest that you like. I mean pinning stuff that's already on Pinterest is one way to do it, but it's a very narrow way.
